Wild Tree

My girlfriend invited me to a Wild Tree party in her home a few weeks back. I was so excited to go and could not wait to hear about their fabulous products, because I heard so many great things about their food. I was very impressed to say the least and how good it tasted.  I wanted to buy everything in the catalog! It felt different for me to do some grocery shopping through a catalog but hey, it's the new millennium, right?  I know that the food Wild Tree makes is a step in the right direction to making our families health, healthier.

What I love about Wild Tree products is that they do not have the hydrogenated fats, preservatives, artificial flavors and additives in the packaged food you will usually find in stores. Their products are made with the finest ingredients available and also do not contain MSG's, food colorants or dyes. If you are worried about food allergies, they have that covered too-they are a peanut and tree nut free facility.

We can all agree that we want our children to eat natural, nutritious foods that do not aggravate existing medical conditions, and for my daughter, that would be her ADHD. We try and do everything we can to help her, especially now that she will be starting preschool soon, she will need the ability to concentrate and focus even more! The Today Show covered a recent study that links hyperactivity with artificial food dyes and preservatives. You can read about it {here}.

I bought the Natural Grapeseed Oil that is unflavored. It is great for all kinds of foods that you usually would use vegetable or olive oil for. I use it in my frying pan when cooking eggs, pancakes, frying up pita bread, on top of toast or as a dip for breads like foccacia. I also use it as as cooking ingredient to add to pizza dough, baked goods, or other recipes.

The next item I bought was Wild Tree's  So Quick And Easy Pizza Dough Mix 16 Oz Box. This is so delicious! You get two separate bags of the dough in the box, so you can also try making homemade pretzels. I made both and it tasted sooo good! The 1 bag of pizza dough mix fed our family of 4, but of course, our kids don't eat a whole lot yet.

The last item that I bought was the Taco Seasoning. It tastes really good but the only thing I would suggest is to add a lot! When we made our tacos, you could taste it in the meat but it was not the strongest flavor. It needed to be a little more powering, so next time I will be adding probably 1 1/2 times the amount recommended. We made tacos with the beef seasoned with Wild Tree's Taco Seasoning, beans, shredded sharp cheddar cheese, lettuce and sour cream on whole wheat pita bread. Yummy!
